It was late one summer afternoon. The workers had gone home. Delivery needed, like yesterday. Martin, the CEO of Radar Innovation decided to stay late and run the Argon Test. We decided to run the side box separately and at the same time. So, it had its supply, and the main box had a different bottle. The ultra high purity argon grade was 99.9995% argon. 5 Parts per Million of Volume (PPMV) was likely Oxygen and the remainder 999,995 parts per million, pure argon.

Our new diffusers from Intercon1978.com were being put to the test too. The diffusers release argon gas in well, a diffused way.

The new Sparky diffuser system was getting tested. The idea behind the diffusers is to save Argon expense. Previously, Hydra Industries Group advertised 6.25 exchanges to get to 30 PPMV. Converted sand blast cabinet show about eight times the volume to get a good atmosphere and HIG makes precision equipment, so not exactly apples to apples, and gets to an acceptable atmosphere in four exchanges.

Hydra Industries Group wants a laminar flow and to use as little gas as possible to get to acceptable welding atmospheric purity. After four exchanges we reached: 21 PPMV – this is good enough for most application.
